I have a requirement for some software:

The first I need is some imaging software, similar to Ghost but preferably free.

Then I need something to sort out a dodgy partition, I have a C: and some free space that was an old partition that I need to merge but it will not allow me as it says it cannot expand FAT32 drives.

I also need some software, like Windows Explorer/File Manager, that can hunt through all my files and find duplicates & allow me to remove these as I copy files for safety all the time and I would like something that checks them all then asks me to delete them or automatically archives duplicated with some new naming convention. It would be the same for folders, duplicates.

Finally I need some software, and advice on recovering software from a disk that I just wiped with XP Home and I am now going to have to put as a slave and try and recover the data! Nice job that is going to be!

Partition Logic has some limitations, however, it will create disk images & resize FAT32 partitions.

It's free :

Duplicate File Finder will finde dupes. Freely downloadable .... registration & payment is optional :

Recoving data from a "wiped" & overwritten hard drive is an exercise in futility.
Traces of the erased files may be still present, however, they will almost surely be too damaged to be salvaged.
