When you consider that many sick people may have thumbed through them whilst ill in bed recovering form surgeries or whatever...tranferring their bugs to the pages, something similar in hotel rooms I guess, we don't know what people get up to there.

There is the risk of that happening. I work in a hospital, and I believe that all bibles have now been removed from the bedside. MRSA, E-coli, and other bugs are prevalent at the moment, so anything to stop the spread is being carried out.

Well, I have never heard that, in fact the hospital I have been into never had Bibles next to the beds. Infections are spread through all kinds of ways, just hand to hand contact can do it. That is why handwashing is vital in hospitals. I really can't see a bug surviving on the surface of a Bible for very long. Is this your way of saying lets get rid of Bible from hospital and hotel room? If that is the case then lets get rid of the TV remote from hotel rooms too as well as all the furniture, in case someone else touched it. Those things are not disinfected between guests.

I always carry my own bible. Anything that has not been wiped down and sterilized will carry germs. The most probable place is the hospital tv remote control, and bed control. I saw this on 20/20. Staff infection is in the air at hospital, some more than others. Grocery store buggy handles are another place to pick up germs. Take some sanitary wipes, some stores don't provide them.

I read an article within the last month that said the dirtiest thing in hotel rooms are the bibles. Which makes sense really, since the maids clean everything but them.

From now on ... I'll think twice before I write that stuff in the liner notes!

It's the remote control and the telephone that spreads the germs. I haven't seen Bibles in hospitals in years.

If you want to be healed - read the Bible.
If you want to be killed - pick up the phone or remote control.

If you want a Bible in a hospital call a pastor and he will bring you a brand new one still wrapped in clear wrap.

What's the difference between that and the fact that the bible spreads crap that ruins people's lives? There is no difference, only illness takes a lot less to get over.

You really think many sick people who haven't read bibles at home really pick them up and read them? I bet not many.
Sad

Yes, God moves in mysterious ways...
And just to be sure, they have all been removed in modern civilized hospitals now.

The Spirit has power over the flesh "Thy faith has made you whole'. On the other hand, 'That which I have feared has come upon me' (Job upon letting fear push away his faith).
