I've been married 19 years and I've only seen that happen one time, and I would really never like to see it again. Generally it is me who stops the talking. but he stopped everything. He just sat in the recliner for hours on end watching MTV and not speaking. Like almost 24 hours. He had a melt down of some sort and I didnt much care for it.

Communication is an important element in a relationship. Give him some time to get over his temper then sit down and try talking to him. Work your issues out. Troubles like these happens at times, but if its too often it can potentially hurt yourselves and your relationship. Dont let it continue for days. One of you has got to apologise or make the first move. Good luck!
