How about the old fashioned prunes. Cheap, at the grocery store and absolutely gross, but proven to work from what older people say.

There are 3 yummy things that can help, licorice, brown sugar (in warm water), chocolate.
If you have been treating your body well extreme constipation can be a symptom of a food intolerance. Some get this, some get the opposite problem. Some of the common foods that can give these symptoms later in life are gluten, dairy, yeast and soy. Gluten is the most likely but every body is different. If you have no "relief" after following some of the good suggestions from the group of answers here, do see a doctor and tell them you would like to deal with things as naturally as possible. They will follow your wishes where they can.
I hope things get "moving" soon, that can be SO uncomfortable! Take care.

The doctors can give you medication to relieve this quickly, however, if you are like me, a more natural way is preferable. I prefer to go down the 'prevention is better than cure' road. With that in mind I have found a research and development company whose philosophy is looking after the body as a whole, inside and out.
There are no quick fixes here. Once the body can function optimally it can look after itself. We just have to do two things:
- provide adequate nutrition
- detox the body
Unfortunately many people think they can get adequate nutrition from their food but we need to supplement. Also many people are not aware of the harmful ingredients that are in our every day personal care products - disgusting that manufacturers are allowed to use such chemicals.
If you would like me to send you more information about this company and how you can access safe, toxin free products, email me directly at leanne27@aapt.net.au

Do you have a Long John Silver's Seafood Shoppe in your area? If so, order one of their huge platters and eat all you can of it. Guaranteed results within 3-4 hours...also, increasing your consumption of water will help you. Fiber. You can also get more exercise to help speed the bowel's function.

Lots of fiber. My husband swears by a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee. If your feeling frisky a teaspoon of castor oil but it won't be fun so I definitely suggest trying the oatmeal and coffee first.

That is certainly not good. Aloe Vera is good, but I would see my doctor today.
