No, the bird food won't harm your dog. Ours are constantly 'grazing' beneath the bird feeders. They especially like hanging out under the suet feeders.

Dogs are basically from the family of wolves. They are used to the wild life envirnoment. They eat any thing which is fresh/dead parts too.

Since we have made the life of Dogs Artificial by feeding kibbles and other readymade food stuffz, we have infact made him les resistant to natural environment.

If by chance, dogs eats somethings, they would digest it. Like say kibbles takes 12-16 hours to completely digest compared to 4-6 hour of BARF Diet.

My view is that its not harmful to dog if by mistake they ate bird's food.

Bird seed is natural and isn't necessarily harmful to your dog. It can cause stomach upsets becuase the dog isn't used to eating it. I'd watch him carefully and be aware that there will probably be some vomiting or diahahrea before the feed is out of his system. When he starts the upset stomach routine, you can give him one of the chewable pepto bismol tablets to help calm his stomach.

Doggie, I think you've got your times backwards. Raw diets digest slower than commercial dog food.
