If your lens is inside-out, you will see the turned-out edge when the lens is on your finger (in the position when it's ready to be placed on your eye). It's like a "flip" in a woman's hairdo.

When you get ready to put your contact in, hold it on the tip of your finger as usual, and bring it eye level. When you look at it from the side, it should look like a perfect bowl. If it's inside out, it will create an odd shape with the ends sort of curling over. Once you try this a couple of times, you'll easily be able to tell when your contact is 'inside out'.

If the edge of the lens is curling inwards, it's the right way up. If it's curling outwards, it's inside out.
Apart from that, if the lens is inside out, it immediately feels uncomfortable.

Hope this helps.

You can place the contact on the crease in the palm of your hand. Slowly bring the edges together as you curl your palm. If the lens comes together like a taco it is the correct way. If it wants to fold back on your hand it is wrongside out
