Christ.
When a person becomes saved he/she is changed.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The word Transformed read above means in the greek "Metamorphasis", we are not the same any more, we think different, we act different, we are no longer part of this world, and because of that, the world will hate us.
Jhn 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Also I have noted that many non-believers bauk at us, and never seem to understand us, this is because.
1Cr 2:14 But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
1Cr 2:15 We who have the Spirit understand these things, but others can't understand us at all. (New Living Translation)
As Christians we see truely what the world is and the lies of this world, the Bible clearly teaches us this.
Col 2:8 Don't let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world,* and not from Christ.
I have much more, but this is a start.

Motivation?
And odd word, but okay. Spiritual aspects aside, it's a lifestyle that works. Spiritually, I get to commune with the creator of the universe. (And if you've never done that, it sounds like a strange thing to say - but if you are a Christian, you know what I mean)
But I wouldn't say it's motivation.

My motivation comes from faith. Everybody has been given a measure of faith. It is just where it is applied. Christians believe / apply their measure in Christ Jesus. Others believe / apply one's measure in one's works of one's hands. Yet others believe / apply one's measure in Logic, Intelligence, Rationality, etc.
The requirement of True Faith is foolishness to the world. Meaning to set aside all human rights and characteristics that has been declared by Mankind or Humanity.
So Faith is my motivation.

Jesus knocked on the door, I heard and opened it. My life changed completely and I would not go back for any earthly treasure. I'm no longer happy, I am joyful. There is a huge difference.
God bless. †
Now seriously, folks, whoever gave me a thumbs down for having a great life is the kind of person you want to hang around with? LOL, unbelievable.

The love of my parents and their example introduced me to the Roman Catholic Church. Being a Christian has given me great joy and a has given me direction in life.
