Abstraction is a process, It is a process of taking an image and breaking it down to its bare bones. Of taking all its recognizable attributes and leaving just the basic idea of the subject.

All wrong so far, me, abstraction is any alteration from the reality. That is ANY alteration. For example, if you draw or paint a tree and you decide to place that tree on your surface an inch to the right of center; That is an abstraction! Georgia O'Keeffe knew that when she said,"Nothing is good unless it is good in an abstract way".
In fact, depicting a three-dimensional object like a tree onto a two-dimensional plane is doing an abstract no matter how acurate you try to be to the original object.

Abstract is the opposite of literal...
so instead of a literal image of, for instance, a tree in the wind - the abstract gives one the suggestion of windblown branches, but without any details. The suggestion is created using colour, pattern, texture, and other design elements that will cause the viewer to experience the feeling of that tree in the wind without literally seeing a tree.

Luck is created and started in your own mind. You have to control your mind in order to create lucky results. That is, your positive belief or thought is the cause of good luck, according to the book “HOW TO OVERCOME SUPERSTITIONS.”
