Low-carb works. I can easily lose 5 lbs. a week on low-carb. Staying off sugar and flour--that should help!
Also avoid processed foods, and stuff like MSG and aspartame will make you gain weight.

Well, It depends on how long you have until the wedding. I am taking a nutrition class, and the nutritionist said that the best diet, is good old exercise and a balanced diet. All other diets are useless and a waste of money. She said that with those "miracle diets" or "fad diets" you may lose weight in the beginning but you will eventually gain it back and it's usually unhealthy for your body. The person above me is right. What ever you do, DON'T STARVE YOUR BODY!! this is the worst dieting ever. Your body, whenever it senses it is being starved, takes all the fat it can find in whatever you do eat and it stores it b/c Your body doesn't know when it will eat again. It's a Defense Mechanism and self-preservation. Just try to eat low fat foods, no trans, and do what you have been doing-no sugar/flour. Doctors believe if you eat 3 servings a day of dairy products, you will lose inches around the waist. Also do cardiovascular exercises. But don't over work yourself. Another thing to think of is, have the seamstress take the dress out a little if all else fails, If that's why you are trying to lose weight. Just about all dresses can be let out a little. A liquid diet is good + exercise. Starving yourself wont help, since the body sets up a defense mechanism to store the fat.
