I like the name and I like your variant spelling of it. It makes it stand out more.
Just because everyone spells a name one way doesn't mean that is the only way to do it.
I have a daughter named Starr

I like the name, but I prefer the traditional spelling - Jasmine. There's no doubt she'll be called Jazz.

I love the name, just not the spelling you used.
My best friends name is Jasmine, another friends little sisters name is Jazmin. I just think two z's is a little overkill!

Pretty lower-class, no?
This:
http://www.freakonomics.com/thebook.php
brings it up a few times as a notably 'lower' name. Lower education, lower income...
Even when it's spelled correctly. Is it too late to at least fix the spelling?

If she will go to school she will be asked if she has a problem with spelling.
I had a friend who was named Milissa and everybody thought she must be dyslexic.
Do you want to boast your own creativity in name finding or do what's best for your child?

it's a nice name, but why spell it like that, all through her life whenever she has to fill in any paperwork or whatever all she'll ever be asked is "how do you spell that?", why not just spell it jasmine and make life easy on her?
