Summing up any religion is a tough order but the Baha'i Faith believes that there is one God and He created humanity to know and love Him. The way that He has informed us of His existence is through a series of Messengers (Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc.) These Messengers deliver God's teachings so that we can have an "ever advancing civilization". We are told that the next step is the unification of the entire planet and that this will require the establishment of God Kingdom on earth. This is require because there is no other force with the capability to unify all of humanity and as we can see in the news everyday there is a great deal more unity needed. There is much more and the website below has those answers.
Take care and good question...

The Baha'i Faith began in Persia 163 years ago. An Arabic reformer, Sheik Ahmad, born on the coast of Bahrain, went to Persia to tell that the Promised One was about to readorned the Islamic Faith. After his death, Siyyid Razim took over and prepared a small group of Shi'a for His Advent. Then in 1844, Siyyid Ali-Muhammad had a Revelation from God in Shiraz. His first book was a comment on the Surah of Josef. He called himself the Bab, because He was the gate to a new revelation, and hence started the Babi Faith. The Bab died in Tabriz shot by the army of Shah in 1850.
In 1863, a follower of the Bab declared that He was the one expected by the Babi, Mirza Husayn Ali who took the title of 'Baha'u'llah', originally from Mazindaran, he was in exile in Baghdad at the time of His declaration. Susequently He was exiled to Adrianopel, Constantinopel and at last Akka in the Holy Land, where He died 1892. The most important books He wrote are the Kitab i Aqad, the Kitab i Iqan and the Summon to the Lords of Host. He wrote in both Arabic and Persian. After his ascension, the Baha'i community was led by His son, Abdul-Baha. Nowadays there are about 6 million Bahais in the world.

he Baha'i Faith is the youngest of the world’s independent monotheistic religions. Founded in Iran in 1844, it now has more than 5 million adherents in 236 countries and territories. Baha'is come from nearly every national, ethnic and religious background, making the Baha'i Faith the second-most widespread religion in the world.
Baha'is view all the world's major religions as a part of a single, progressive process through which God reveals His will to humanity. The Founder of the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah (1817-1892), is recognized as the most recent in a line of Divine Messengers that stretches back beyond recorded time and includes Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad. The central theme of Baha'u'llah's message is that humanity is one single race and that the day has come for humanity’s unification into one global society. While reaffirming the core ethical principles common to all religions, Baha'u'llah also revealed new laws and teachings to lay the foundations of a global civilization. “A new life,” Baha'u'llah declares, “is, in this age, stirring within all the peoples of the earth.”
The worldwide Baha'i community, composed of people from virtually every racial, ethnic and religious background, is working to give practical expression to Baha'u'llah’s vision of world unity. We invite you to learn more about the Baha'i Faith and benefit from the spiritual and practical insights found in the Revelation of Baha'u'llah, God's message for humanity in this day.
