Run a search for "Medic Alert". You can buy bracelets, necklaces, and cards that identify medications, allergies, and conditions that a health care provider may need to know in the event that you are unable to speak for yourself. They should be worn at all times. The bracelets are the most commonly used identifier, as they are most easily spotted even if the person is clothed. Imagine an ambulance responds to the home of an unconscious person. They may not have their wallet on them, and hopefully their rescuers aren't wasting time looking around for it.

Make your own on a business card and make sure you write the date on it so that you know when to update it. Your pharmacist also may be able to provide you this.
What's also useful is a "MediSense" bracelet, which is an engraved bracelet which has important information written on it, such as allergies and major conditions. Your doctor can help you find where to get them.

I got a little plastic pot from the Red Cross, one for my hand bag and the other to keep in the fridge near my medicine. Apparantly the ambulance service know to look out for them. You write details of your drugs regime on the slip. Although small they are distinctive to those looking out for them.
I find it very reassuring,- and not needed to use it for quite some time, so happy about that too.

I think you can get them from chemists in the UK, also, any of the mental health charities, MIND, MDF etc will supply you with one for free. it is very important to carry one as, and God forbid this happen, if for any reason you are unwell, and cannot tell medical / emergency services or the police for yourself, you will get much better help if they know what you are taking.

Many major hospitals give these out for free, or you can download one to use, print it on heavy paper, and laminate it yourself. There are ones you can buy over the internet, but I think creating your own is just as good. See the link below. It is a pdf, however.

ask your doctor to have them written on a card that you can carry around, or even if you are going to mental health, they could make up a card with them on it for you to carry with you.
