You could always contact the GSD rescue centres, try www.oldies.org.uk or www.gsd.rehoming.freeserve.co.uk.... or go onto ...........www.germanshepherduk.co.uk and join the forum there and look under rehoming there. Its an excellent site and there are loads of topics for you to read up on.I have to say some of the answers on here are a little sharp. You may not be able to afford the normal price for a GSD as a pup but if you are willing and able to give an abandoned one a loving careing home with the correct health care etc then i do not see why you couldnt contact a rescue centre.I also have to say i do not beleive in selling a dog on,if for what ever reason a dog needs rehomeing the origanl owner should be prepared to GIVE it away and not make money from it,(just my opinion). We have had them for 28yrs and wouldnt be without these noble babes.

Try your local rescue centre though you should expect to pay at least a donation. It worries me that you are not prepared to pay for your Dog. It costs a lot to rear good puppies!!! If you can't afford to buy it, can you afford to get its injections or even pay the quite hefty food bills?
Anyone giving away a GSD is either an irresponsible breeder and it may not be a full GSD or incapable of looking after it and giving away an unruly pup! Think carefully before taking one!
The Shepherd is not an easy breed, they need firm but kind handling and if you haven't kept one before please make sure you do your homework. There are plenty of books and web-sites available!

You are not going to get a decent GSD puppy from the free ads & in such a restricted area - as you have been told before. If you can't afford to pay the going rate, how are you going to pay if the puppy needs veterinary attention - which it probably will if you purchase in this way. I travelled 600 miles to get the GSD puppy I wanted - he was worth it.
