i've had this problem. and no, i don't like it. not many girls do. having a random guy all over you is creepy. if it's a long term relationship, maybe. but not in public, if ever.

You were way out of line!!!
No girl wants to be touched or violated by a stranger. In a civilized society everyone should know that.
She in all likely hood wanted to pretend it wasn't happen. In her gut she knew she should move or say something to you but it was easier to suffer in silence and ignore you.
She more than likely will blame herself later and rationalize that somehow she caused it to happen by giving you some mistaken signal.
Please don't ever do that again. Respect women, if you want to talk to someone go ahead, start up a conversation say hi, flirt a little you'll know if someone want to go with that or not.
If it felt right to you, you wouldn't have needed to ask the question in the first place.
