And what concern is it of yours? If I want to make love to my toaster, I will. But then again, I am not a pagan I am an atheist. I think you get my point, smart Alec.

Before you go spouting any more stupidity, stop and think about the fact that 1) not everyone can go afford to buy a house out in the country. Sometimes you can't afford to move out of crappy apartment you are stuck living in, in or near the city. 2) depending on where one lives, it could be less than 10 degrees outside during winter. Who in their right mind is going to do ritual outdoors and risk forstbite and hypothermia? Part of being Pagan is not only honoring nature but also respecting the fact that it can be dangerous enough to harm or kill you and also to know our own limitations against it.
Sometimes, you just have to be realistic.

I would have to say yes. Though, I see nothing wrong with doing rituals inside, especially in the city and still feel a connection to nature (your house came from nature... that electricity, basically, comes from nature.... there is nothing in this world that didn't come from nature). BUT, it is annoying to see those who claim to be in Paganism, spout anything they can that they have read in a book, yet do nothing about the poor in their area. To watch them walk down the street in their middle ages garb, acting as if some God had just delivered them the secrets of the world... wearing as much jewelry and crystals as they could buy to prove how "Pagan" they really are.
Yep, there's hypocrites in every group.

Interesting point. Perhaps though, to a certain extent, these 'neon pagans' have abandoned the urban decay they might live in, as rats flee sinking ships...why try to fix something if it will just be twice as bad tomorrow?
This answer is just an idea I don't say I agree with it by the way!

Very interesting point. I do agree with you.
'Spiritual, but not religious' is one of my most hated sayings.
Generally speaking, people who considers themselves 'spiritual' tend to annoy me. Rather quickly.
I have no problem with someone who is truly religious. Someone who practices what they preach. Shows respect.
btw - I work and live in a state forest/wildlife enhancement area and enjoy keeping it as clean as can be. We do a pretty darn good job. I guess you might consider me Pagan. Perhaps not a traditional Pagan, though.

Yeah... tip-toe through the tulips, for the sake of "originality". Harry-Potter-spells, in the forest, next to caves.
So, I concure. It's all about "originality" and authenticity. No doubt!
