It is very common for people to dream about ex-partners. Individuals that have been an important part of our lives continue to take up a part of our mind and heart. It is impossible to very dramatically shut the person out of thoughts and feelings. Just because the relationship ends does not mean that all is finished. As we go through relationships we learn and at times pick up "battle wounds." You will continue to dream about your ex until you "let go" of her on a very important level, or until you learned your lessons from that relationship. Either way, dreaming about your ex-romance does not predict future involvement. It may be wish-fulfillment, reliving memories, or working out old issues.

I dont know how long you two have been broken up but in my experience of the same thing it is normal. I have been broken up with my ex fiancee for over a year now. I still love him, but in a different way now. I even have a boyfriend and have moved on. But sometimes he manages to creep his way back into my dreams. All I have to say is you never forget someon you loved. And I dont believe that you actually stop loving them. I think that all the people we love like that stay with us for the rest of our lives. So now I dont worry about those dreams.

I've been married for 18 yrs.My first true love moved thousands of miles away from me right in the middle of our relationship.I dreamed about him for yrs.The last one I had about him he was laying in a casket and everybody was mourning over him. You're dreams let you feel their presence because you still love them and miss them. And it eases the pain of not having them with you. You'll always love her,and think about her as I still to this day love Rick, and think about him every once in a while. Were only human. When you have feelings for someone they never end.And yes I'm sure she's going through the same thing. The saying goes. It's better to have loved and loss than not love at all. It's a learning process we all go through

I am married again and happilly but divorced from ex wife 5 years ago. Well over her but I still have dreams of her. I think it is just uncontrollable images in our sub conscious when we are in a deep sleep. Don't worry about them they are normal.

She may be going through this as well. Depends on her as well. You probably do have strong feelings for her still deep down and your heart is trying to tell you this. Try talking to her maybe. Maybe you might be able to become friends and tell each other about what's going on and how you both feel for each other.
