Unless you are going to allow him to claim you on his taxes at the end of the year, you shouldn't be concerned about how much he makes.
THAT is the best answer - not the most popular.
You should have parent/parents that should be able to support you while you are out of work, but it's not your boyfriend's responsibility, unless you all marry or something.
It's unfair to him and your relationship because he will now feel obligated - which WILL run guys off.

FYI...........

i think he told you he made what he did to make sure you were with him for him and not what he makes it really has not much to do with you i don't think as for not having a job yourself i think maybe he didn't want you to think he was better than you not having a job and not giving you money is fine as long as you don't live together he is not obligated to give you any cash but as a couple he would buy you what you need instead of making you suffer ... i dealt with almost the same thing but i was the one lieing about how much i made and come to find out he was with me for money and he decided that he was not ready to pay bills and be grown so he left but all i can say is i have my money to myself now good luck hope this helps

I would tell him that since I caught him lying, that trust is gonna be a big problem from now on.Usually guys are happy to spend money on their women and are proud of how much they earn. I think your guy had a bunch of unresolved issues he isn't willing to share with you. I would seriously question your relationship with him. What else has he lied about?

Why should he give you money - you should get a job of your own. You have only been together 5 months there must have been a reason he didn't tell you how much he earnt, after 5 months i dont think it is necessarily your business.

tell him you know for sure how much he earns, and that u don't appreciate being lied to..then demand for more money!!!!

Actually, i think it would be better if you ask nicely, cos he is mandatd to give you money, afterall you are married and you do not say if you have kids together....but i dont think its nice him lying to you..that is a trust problem right there!

I don't think it is good that he lied, but it seems odd to me that you have only been together 5 months and you depend on him to support you. That can be scary. What if you two broke up-how would you take care of yourself? I am not excusing his lying, I would talk to him about it.

He probably just didnt tell you because maybe in the past girls just wanted him for his MONEY! So maybe he felt now was the right time to tell you, since you have been in the relationship longer. Dont be mad at him, but be happy! Its something so small to be mad about, so give him a break, and you just enjoy it!

He lied to you about how much he earns? are you kidding me, you should be happy he didn't lie to you about cheating or something. you need to worry about other things besides how much money he earns and maybe if you got a job he wouldn't have to worry about lying to you anymore.

Look sweety!!!
Do you like the guy for his money or his personallity?
If you like the guy because of money i dont see any reason to stay in that kind of relationship!!
but if you like the guy because of his personallity, then you should just wait so he can get a better job!!
just give him a chance!

He's right. You are after his money! Love him instead and your expectations may be fulfilled. If you are like this when still bf and gf, what would happen if u tied the knot?
