torsten you maybe right to some extent but most turkish films are not violent they are mostly funny. and especially, i think, in spite of lower costs, turkish films are better than any italian or french film which are so boring that a few times, i watched their films with a few people in the cinema which is in fact has hundreds of seats.
of course, american and english films are best.
i liked beynelmilel from recently made turkish films..

i have to agree with you on that, i loved Babam ve oglum. you get hooked onto the movie in the first 5minutes..
But the top movie for me would be PARDON... apparently its a true story... its soo funny, i recommend everyone to see it...

Sorry, but most Turkish movies (that I have seen) were too boring or contained too much stupid violence and brutality. I rather like movies from the UK, Scandinavia, Italy, France, Germany or from other countries...

i like midnight express.. great acting, story and great director...showed the reality...
Turkish movies are not very clever... they are all copied from a foreign movie....not very original.... a bit like bollywood movies...
