in NY that is your girlfriend. if you are not on probation, and your guns are registered you can have them... if she is living with you. being around them is a violation of her probation. so you haveing them in the long run could cause her to be in violation

No. You are not on probation, she is. If a condition of her probation is not to own or possess a gun then she can't be around them. So, if she is living with you, and you own guns, she is in violation of her probation and gets to go to jail.
You need to store the guns some place else while she is on probation or make her move out. Interesting choice you get to make. . ., mama or the guns. I have a large collection of shotguns, rifles, and handguns; be a huge pain in the butt to move. So, if I had to make such a choice, , ,; well, the wife's sister lives on the other side of town, ain't that far away.

It is a violation of federal law for a convicted felon to own, contol or possess a firearm. In many states, conditions of probation also prohibit a convicted felon from being with someone in possession of a gun. However, I am in agreement with the previous answerer that the best thing to do is to ask her PO. The state has no right to ask you to surrender your guns if you are not a felon. The PO may suggest, that if your girlfriend lives with you, that you store them elsewhere, or that you keep them locked up so that she has no access to them.

the only way to know for sure is to contact her probation officer. felons by law are not allowed to own a gun, or have access to a gun. there are ways around that if you have a safe in your home that you and only you have access/the combination to. i suggest you call her probation officer and explain that the gun would be locked up at all times and there would be no way that your girlfriend could have possession of the any of the weapons at any time. while on probation or parole the rules are really up to the probation officer. everybody on here will have thier own opinion, but you won't know for sure unless you talk to her PO. I have one friend on felony probation who lives with his parents and his parents own guns and a gun safe. his PO is fine with it as long as they are locked up. good luck to you, keep her out of trouble!

If she lives with u, then u will have to give up your guns or store them somewhere else. If a convicted felon is caught with guns in the house where he/she is living I'm not too sure about New York, but here in Illinois, it's an automatic 5 years, straight time. (no eligibility for good time on that one)

I don't understand what your g-friend's DWI has to do with your gun!
But if you're asking if u have a felony DWI ..the answer is yes, you will loose your gun.
Only if you're licensed to legally carry a hand gun... Which I doubt in NY is possible.

Men aren’t “supposed” to seek out advice on how to get women or ask their friends how do I get a girl. We don’t sit around analyzing each other’s relationships. Still, picking up beautiful women is a skill that anyone can learn with enough time, practice, and access to the right resources. Read here https://tr.im/cIots
There is a ton of stuff ( to help you get started. Sometimes the techniques go against “conventional wisdom” or what seems to work in movies and romance novels. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and try them – they DO work and they are a huge advantage over the competition.

First of all, I don't see how guns would have anything to do with a dwi (assuming you own them all lawfully). Second, unless she lives with you, you can do whatever you want.
