Shelley,

I have a friend (an American) who was in a similar situation...it took him over two years waiting before her Visa was finally approved.

I'm not saying it'll take you that long...your lawyer should explain better how long these things may take.

A lawyer can do NOTHING to speed up the process. All a lawyer can do is make sure the paperwork is filled out correctly and some even mess that up.

Everything is based on the date the paperwork is received. You can expect to hear from the US embassy in Manila in a few months.

The scripture says, "they are lost...and their minds are blinded..." we could desire to "seek for the sheep" who're teachable, and those whom Jesus and his father are calling. we don't be responsive to the goats from the sheep except they exhibit themselves to us, or make it sparkling to us because of the fact we knock on absolutely everyone's door, if we are Jehovah's witnesses. we are the messengers. Mat.24:14 "And this stable information of the dominion would be preached in each and all of the inhabited earth..." and for some the sunshine exhibit devil for whom he's, the God of this methodology of issues, on a similar time as Jehovah is the ruler of the universe. even however some can replace and a few stay the comparable, too.
