get married in iran, and then bring her here coz once she is your wife she is entitled to a british passport, and you should have no problems bringing her to the UK.

She will have to apply to home office for a visa. You will both be interviewed and will have to satisfy certain guidelines. You will have to sponsor her as she will not be allowed to claim anything here and she may actually need a trade. Being a nurse is no longer good enough as nurses from the Philippines cannot get here and some have been sent home apparently so my Philippine wife tells me. It is not straight forward. Whydon't you go to Iran instead? Why is she so desperate to come here? Failing that some people come in the back of lorries but you could end up in prison if you try that way. Good luck but it may all end in tears it is still a gamble until you meet her. Having said that That happened to me and when we met I was still sure she was the woman of my dreams so good luck.

Hello,
(ANS) In reality this is a tricky question to give a precise answer too, first of all I think it would be more sensible for you to meet this woman in person before you decide to get more invloved.
**I think under the circumstances you have a number of limited options:-
a) You could go to Iran and meet her, see if you still feel the same way (I dont mean just a short visit, I mean spend a few weeks with her). By the end of your visit see if you still want to committ to becoming engaged, with a view to marriage later on.
**The question you do have to ask, is if you were to get engaged & then marry in Iran will the marriage be reconised by the UK authorities. And if they dont recognise it were does that leave you?
**If they do recognise an Iranian marriage as legal then you need to find out if your wife can apply to come and live here. You would still have to apply to the home office and the dept of emigration for her to become a british citizen.
**You still might need some kind of sponsor here in the UK as part of your new wife coming into the country.
**However, given the current tensions & politics going on in Iran you may find the UK authorities are not going to look very favourably on a woman from Iran coming into the UK (seeking UK citizenship). I do know the rules & conditions for emigration into the UK got tightned up recently and non EU emigrants are given a much lower priority than EU migrants.
**The other option is for her to come to the UK to meet and then decide if you still want to marry. Marriage performed here in the UK would definately give you a better chance as the marriage would be recognised by the UK authority as legal and therefore would strengthen your reasons for her to come here to live. But be warned its NOT a guarentee of her being allowed british citizenship by any means.
Good Luck!! IR

No Iran is probability-free i'm able to assure you...Iran is thoroughly diverse from different Islamic international places...you spot, Iranian human beings have a cleric authorities yet maximum individuals in Iran are not to any extent further non secular in any respect! humorous huh? and likely you're anticipated to cover your head in public because the authorities forbids women human beings dressing like westerners notwithstanding the topic became very diverse earlier the 1979 Islamic Republic..*sigh* btw, I used to have an english boyfriend who worked in Tehran as a instructor :D

Well in the Philipinnes you and she would need to apply for a fiance visa, then they will decide if she can come here, once here you have 6 months to get married, u must be in employment too. It may be the same in Iran, email the government offices. BUT yeah the others have a point although they spell it out crude, why does she really want you when there are millions of men in her country?

Please be careful. In all honesty you don't know if she is the woman of your dreams you only THINK she is until you meet and spend some time together. Try a holiday first.

You can't - have you considered staying over there with her? I thought not and I wonder why, probably because she wants to come and live here (I'd be wary of her motives).
You go over there - that'll solve your problem and ours!
