I need them removed because the teeth are forming 90 degrees angle. The dentist said I will need to go to the specialist to get them extracted. However he's done an emergency surgical to help me with the gum infections ( which is really bad) I need stiches, and have to take antibiotik and have to pay $500, also need to come back again next week to remove the stiches.

my question is how much to have your wisdom tooth removed? and cant you do it in regular dentist? if not, where is the best place to go to in sydney? (preferrable affordable).

many thanks... ! :)

I just spent almost $1800 on having three wisdom teeth pulled. It was about $400 per tooth and the general anesthetic was the rest. No, most regular dentists do not do it because it is surgery but an oral surgeon can give you a general or a local. If your teeth are not impacted and/or you are only needing two out perhaps you could just get a local anesthetic. No idea about the Sydney area though, sorry.

I'm in QLD, and while I got all four of mine out several years ago for free by a government dentist, my sister recently got hers out, and it was $1000! She had a couple of impacted wisdom teeth, so I don't know if that added to the cost. I'm not sure if she went to a specialist or not; she may have done, as when I got mine out (I had two impacted too), I had to get it done at the dental hospital, not at the regular dentist office.

Sorry, I can't help you with a dentist in Sydney.

Good luck.
