I have a cyst on my eyelid but want to try alternitive treatment before I see a doctor.I have been taking silica which has helped the one in my earlobe,but the one on my eye is about the size of a small rice bubble. Thank you .

My mom has a cyst on her eyelid too and when she asked the eye dr about it he told her it was a lipoma. Double check with an eye dr or your primary care dr to see what kind of a cyst it is.

A lipoma is just a cyst made up of fat cells.

i had one on my eyelid once but it went away after two weeks or so. call your doctor and see if you need to have it looked at before you go in a pay the price for the visit. =)

If it grows then it will have to be removed. Right now you can put only cool compresses because it is not a good idea to put anything near your eye that can irritate it. Call your MD and see what he/she thinks.
