i have seen such program but dont remember d name!! PLS HELP!!

Hi Amazing,

Actually, a text-to-speech engine should already be available on your computer if you have purchased it recently (like, in the last 5 years).

For example, I believe both Windows and Mac computers have an 'accessibility' feature that will "read" text out loud. In Windows XP, that feature is available under Programs> Accessories>Accessibiliy>Narrator (or try Control Panel>Accessibility Options). This application is principally designed and provided for the visually-impaired, but is not intended to replace a more dedicated application.

But it doesn't "make an audio file of a text file"; instead, it will have an audible voice read what you type and/or the textual information available in the 'foreground (or Active) window'.
