No you ARE NOT insane. Just because you hear voices and the majority don't, doesn't mean you are crazy or insane. Some people don't say it coz when they go to a shrink he just 'jails' you in an asylum. This is a known fact and people who listen to voices they know this is not being insane and they look for alternatives to psychiatrists.
You are not the only person who hears voices.
Ask the voices who they are, each one at a time and ask also what they want from you.
Some will tell you their names (some strange names, actualy; something like Egyptian or Greek, or Visigode,..., very unusual names indeed), some will tell you their names and what they want from you. Some wont tell you anything. But the point here is that you just tell them you understand them and they will stop bothering you. Keep calm, ask who they are, what they want and just aknowledge to them. They will go away, all of them, ALL OF THEM.

Try it and please let me know how it worked coz it worked for me some 12 years ago.
I was told to that and I found it so amazing coz it worked, that I suggest it to you; but I am very curious to find out if it works with you too.

And you know what? You are high sensitive. You and me we can percieve things the majority can't.

If you decide to go to a doctor, go at least to three of them, and try a homeopathist too.

A physician, will direct you either to a psychologist either to a psychiatrist.

The psychiatrist will give you drugs or a sleep cure, or electro-chocks to make an implant (to imput a verbal comand while under pain). But even though, go to a woman psychiatrist, there are reports of sexual abuse by some psichiatrists when patients are under hypnosis - www.cchr.org.

The psychologist will listen to you and make guesses, evaluating you as this or that and this is something nobody has the right to do: to say you are this or that, based in the pressupost that we are animals. They study rats and they say that you will react like them - Modern Psichology. You will go there until you have no more money. We are spiritual beings, not animals.

May be a Homeopathist can do something... which I doubt.

So, do it yourself.

Every one has inner voices that tell them what's what that
is ones conscience. If U don't have such voices then U could
be insane. What really is insane any way? What also what is normal? All I know of normal is this
Nornal only a setting on a dryer
It has no character, No Flavour
It has nothing there to desire
Character over normal I'd favour
Normal only a setting on a dryer!

In my opinion the people that are insane are those so obsessed
with being normal they go around putting others down and forget to have fun themselves without insulting anyone.
Also those that are just plainly obsessed with being normal that
they never ever have any fun cause they are afraid to look insane however to me such people are insane in my perspective

If you're hearing voices out side of You and U can feel they aren't real then U could be insane...but so what if U are as long
as U aren't hurting anyone.. your better than any insulter that thinks they are normal.. insanity is just a negative word for character as far as I'm concerned!

Hi there,

if this is a serious question it sounds like your phycotic(probably not the right spelling)..I don't believe there is a such thing as being insane and I don't think there is any such thing as being normal. If the voices you are hearing are not your own and if they are bothering your everyday life you should go to your gp, they can send you to a phyciatric nurse or counsellor who will do an evaluation (just simply asking you questions) to see what exactly the problem is. It's nothing to be ashamed of, you can get help to stop this. Please seek help.

It's the voice that keeps you safe that is right...the one that is the true you.

You are not insane because you voices, lot's of people hear voices and are quite sane. You are only insane or psychotic if you hold delusional beliefs, that is, beliefs that are not in keeping with most people in society, for example, if you believed you are God but without any evidence to back that up. If the voices are telling you that you are not insane, are they generally kind in what they say to you or, are they negative and nasty. Either way you can get help from your G.P. will refer you to a community mental health team for help but this does not mean you are insane, and the mental health team will look at it in the same way.

Hi there,

LISTEN CAREFULLY. You have done the right thing by asking the question out. Just that you have to ask the question to the right person - a qualified doctor.

Everybody is insane in a certain way, but thats normal.

If you do hear voices it may or may not be normal, but its upto the doctor to decide. Just like if you cant see clearly doesnt mean you are totally blind, just that you need to wear glasses. As simple as that. Please visit a doctor, ask him your questions and take medicines if he prescribes, otherwise just forget it.

Either way, God bless, be happy and take good care of yourself.

Are the voices internal( inside your head) or external ( coming from a distance away)...its important.. if they are external its probably normal as I can hear external voices now..cos im in a cybercaff...if internal..its probably your earrings.combining with body fluid. acting as an antenna and picking up the World Service..or BBC Radio 4..cos the waves would go straight through the skull and the sounds would be internal..try getting some music instead...like Kiss FM...or Tim Westwood you need some Block Rockin Beats to smoke to..cos it also occurs
to me youve got Hashburners syndrome..a form of automism
basically caused by the nicotine in the spliffs ...try a bong instead.
Yeah your deffo sane..but I wouldn't admit it to anyone, cos its a
rare condition and you would be a medical marvel..therefore a candidate for medical research...(akin to alien autopsy)
and you wouldn't want that now would you....

If you hear voices that only you can hear, you should let a doctor know about this. Most likely this can be treated successfully with medications and therapy. Insane? No, just someone with a problem that needs to be taken care of.

style is no substitute for substance
knowing certain facts is not more important than wisdom
creating an impression is not more potent than acting from your center

learn: effective action arises out of silence and a clear sense of being
in this you will find a source of peace

discover: the person who is down to earth and can do what needs to be done more effectively than the person who is merely busy

(do not make a show of holiness
or give yourself grades for your good performance
that would create a climate of success and failure
competition and jealousy within your own being would follow)

remember this: when you reinforce appearances, people will scramble to please

become: open to more and more possibilities of behaviour
you will learn a great deal when you are open to everything and not just trying to figure out what pleases those around you

BE YOURSELF!
