Do you mean under the area where the ring rested? If so, it's just the chemicals in your skin reacting to the metal of the ring. It happens with some people with brass or copper. Sometimes some people get blackish marks from silver. But usually, it's because something is made of a cheaper metal that isn't usually used for jewelry just for that reason. But there are no side effects of this, it's just unsightly, and for some people it may be a little irritating or itchy.
