You should see your GP as soon as possible. I would hesitate to put anything harsh in your ear. If your eardrum is not intact, you may be doing more harm than good. Some people find running a hairdryer on low and letting the air blow into your ear helps with the pain. Drops, alcohol, peroxide etc may help an outer ear infection, but severe ear pain can be caused by many things. You won't know for sure until you get it checked out. You should go to emergency or an out of hours walk in centre if your ear pain is accompanied by fever or if you have noticed a sudden change in your hearing.

Eat something spicy to clear your sinuses.
And use the juice of a baked onion as eardrops at night.
You will need a shower in the morning.
other - Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.
Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.
The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).
For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

lay down to your side and add a few drops of peroxide and leave on for 5 min, your going to fell like it tingling or hear like it's boiling water and it's completly normal...keep doing this until the water comes out and pain goes away. i've always had earaches since i was little so the doctor recommend i do this each time it hurt. it cleans your ears out very well and make sure to take a pain medicine. that should help as well. good luck!

OK, I have ear aches all the time. Here's what works for me: swimmers ear (or rubbing alcohol, its the same thing ) cleaning your ears with an ear wax removal kit, or, and I know this sounds crazy but its one of those home remedies that works, take a hair dryer on low heat and hold it up to your ear.

I'd say get some stuff called Swimmers Ear, or try Sweet oil..
With the sweet oil, just get it kind of warm, put it in your ear and put cotton in it so it doesn't drain out.. I've done it, it worked, but on some other people it doesn't.. If it doesn't get better go to the doctor!!
I hope you feel better :)

go to the GP, you might have an infection and need antibiotics, If you had it for 3 days, and it's showing no signs of easing.
