The boy was the girl's father's aunt's grandmother's father-in-law's son's grandson's sister's brother's son. To put it more simply, they were siblings.

Well i think the boy was the girl's sister -in-law's brother.........so
maybe they were just friends or maybe brother and sister ............I never met them after all.
