How long does it take to realise you don't love someone anymore? Does it happen immediately or does it take time?

To me True love will last forever. I feel in love with someone when I was like 15 and we never dated even. I am turning 21 and am still in love with that person. I do not think I will get over that. Once you are in love you will always have feelings. Unless you are in lust. If u are in love you will always have a place in your heart for them....I know in ways it may suck. But it is the truth.

It usually takes a bit of time to get over loving someone. Especially if they hurt you badly. For everyone it's different and everyone deals with it differently. It just depends on how willing you are to accept what's happened and let go.

Not usually immediately. A new love sppeds up the process a lot.

I think it takes time...how much time I think thats different for anyone....would depend on the length and depth of the relationship. but i think you cant forget someone that you love or was a part of your life unless you have amnesia....but you can stifle thoughts if they are too painful...you have to replace them with new current and future thots.

Well i had just started to care for someone but i do believe that they destroyed that. I don't think it will take me to long. I hope you recover soon.

If it is love and not lust, then it will take some time. For each person and each relationship it is different. Only you can decide that.

It depends on your mood.... if you feel that you can live happily without that person or he/she doesn't have any impact on your life then you wouldn't find any specialty in your relationship......
Then you wont have any feeling of love instead it will become any other normal relationship with others

if u truly love/loved that person.. u cant ever stop loving them .....even though u may think u dont .... ucant ! it comes out in a lot of ways.. like hate.. anger.... or just messing ur life up... tryin to not love em...but theres always a place in ur heart for em....asmuch as u hate it to be there and as hard as u try to not let it be there.. it stays ... i think thats wat makes us more angry....... dont try to hate someone u love or loved in the past... if they hurt u... jus dont think of em as much.... u cant hate em !try it.. wont work n look it hasnt worked thats why u asked this question on here... ! good luck !

It takes time, but if you go more than a year without getting cabeza it means that's it it's over.
