You can't get rid of split ends, and if you don't cut them off, they will run further up the hair shaft making it necessary to cut even shorter if you want rid of them. Any products claiming to repair split ends merely stick them together temporarily. It's the straightening that's doing it, you need to use barrier products for heat styling, and use good deep conditioning packs at least once a week. Get the ends chopped off, and start a new regime where you really look after the ends! You know, although it's obvious to you when you lose an inch or two, hardly anyone else will notice the difference, and slightly shorter glossy hair in lovely condition looks a hell of a lot better than long, frizzy hair with dry ends.

Split ends need to be cut off or they just get worse. Invest in some kind of heat protection spray to use before you straighten. There are now some multi-vitamins that are especially good for nails and hair, you can get them at most supermarkets.

well... i have split ends and i straighten my hair every day and the hairdresser tries selling me all sorts of conditioners when i ask her and they are about 10 pound a bottle, but i think they don't really do anything different to a normal conditioner so they're just a waste of time and money then my auntie told me about Hena Wax. Hena Wax is like a thik conditioner especially for dried out hair and its like about 2 pound for a big tub and its soo good you can get it from places like superdrug and other cheap beauty places. you just put it on an leave it for as long as possible but dont forget to shampoo after or it can make it greasy but it really does work my hair is in much better condition now and my split ends aren't half as bad. hope this helps... Jess x
ps or just try a simple hair serum before you use straighteners.x

Try pure coconut oil. Just a dime sized amount is needed for everyday use. Read the earth clinic natural cures website for more info. To keep hair strong use 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day. Nails will benefit too. Just put the coconut oil on the ends and no more split ends. If it has worked on my hair, it will work on anybody hair. You do not have to cut the ends off.

I'm afraid there is no other way to get rid of split ends, other than cutting..There are lots of products which claim to "mend" but it can't be done..All you need is a light trim all over, makes a big difference..Using any form of heat will damage it...Try a protection spray before straightening..

There is no way to get rid of them without clipping them. In fact your hair will not continue to grow if you do not clip your ends every 6-8 weeks. Using heat everyday will damage your hair and you will often have split ends and damage the protein structure to your hair. In between cuts you need to care for your hair to protect it from the heat styling and keep up the ph level. Research different products you can use with heat products to protect your hair better if you must use heat daily. CHI has hair products that are awesome.

the best way to get rid of the split ends is to have a hair cut..and you should take care of your hair by having a hot oil treatment every twice a week..and your hair will be very shiny and smooth to touch..and don't force your hair by combing if your hair have a tangle..it will cause you a split ends and hair damage..

you would need to have your hair trimmed, do not straighten your hair every day as this damages the hair and always use a heat protector before using straighteners or hair dryer. also a good conditioner can help .

You can't permanently repair them, you need to cut them off before they split even more.
In future use heat protection spray prior to straightening your hair and try not to do it every day.
