Evidence Hahahaha No faith is not evidence. Try convincing a judge you didn't drink & drive with faith Well your honor I had faith in my ability to drive & faith that the family I killed would live through the horible accident
Of course you like church How else could you possibly believe what you do if you wern't convinced others do.
As far as truth No one knows but us Atheists are always about 5 or 6 hundred years ahead of the religous world So even when the truth is discovered it will be about 600 years before the rest of the world accepts it ,as always That is if you all dont kill us first
Oh yeah to answer you original Q how about freedom to live the only life you have. To actually think about the future in a positive light How about this Say I die to save someone else's life knowing there is no after life You on the other hand would die thinking oh well this life doesn't matter because I get to go to heaven So which of the two is actually a selfless sacrifice I know the true value of what a human life is How precious the Earth is You on the other hand probably only really care about heaven & doing what ever it takes to get there & wouldn't give it up to save your own child

To answer your question, "What does Atheism really have to offer?", the answer is ...nothing. That is what they believe. They do not believe there is a creator, therefore there is no ultimate moral authority.
When you die you just cease to exist. The most evil among us or the most virtuous end up the same way.
I have seen terminally ill people actually die right before my eyes. All I can tell you is there is something there in that body that makes it alive. Then you can almost sense that something is leaving. Then it is gone. Where did it go? Is this guy now up in the clouds playing a harp? I don't think so. But did he simply cease to exist? I doubt that even more.
There was something there. Something like an energy but we lack any instrument that can read it. It is there in the living and then it is gone. Once it is gone nothing you do can bring it back. We cannot shoot a dead person with electricity and bring them back to life. Their is an unknown force that some religions call a soul, some call a spirit. If you see someone die, you know that that force was in them and now it is gone. Gone where?

I won't try to either insult you or suck up: I'll simply point out that there is no evidence of any sort to support religion -- or to oppose it, either, and from that it is possible to prove that no theory of religion can have any consequence in the real world: all such theories are a waste of time. Atheism scores as a default. If you suppose that some religious text (e.g., bible) supports a religion, it should be apparent that to do so it must be completely error-free. The bible does not come remotely close; it has hundreds of factual errors, and scores of internal contradictions, so it cannot be taken as evidence of anything. (The Qur'an does better, having far fewer obvious errors, but there are some.) Furthermore, such texts must be independently verifiable: it is circular reasoning to suppose that a text is authentic merely because it claims that it is.

Atheist's reality is that every time there's evidence on existence, it's accepted. Take evolution. It's pretty much proven, yet Christians still stick to the theory of Adam and Eve: a story written in medieval times.
Evidence: see reality.
Don't waste time in church: I think it's O.K. to go to any gathering, church or otherwise, as long as people get together which is human nature. But, don't get caught up in everything people say.
Many people need religion to pull them along in life. Many people are followers, and that's fine in the world here and now. Maybe we'll be mature enough to accept the truths in life rather than listen to stories that people wrote down hundreds or thousands of years ago.

You stated - '"Evidence" People have the same for their religions or else they wouldn't believe it'
This is untrue. People who believe have faith, not evidence, in their god and religion. They believe despite not having any physical evidence or having evidence to the contrary.
Atheism itself doesn't claim anything. It is simply the belief that there isn't a creator. You're putting words into atheists' mouths by saying that atheism is the one and only truth. However, I see many Christians make that very claim about Christianity.
The reason of "Don't have to waste time going to church" is a rediculous one if you ask me. You don't have to be either religious or god-believing to go to church. Like you said, many people enjoy going to church for the social factor alone. One can meet many girls at church!
Atheism offers the freedom of an open mind. The freedom to question the existence of god and to question the church. Atheism allows us to grow, much more than religion which stifles intelligence and creativity. It narrows your viewpoint of the world. Makes you less tolerant. You don't see atheists saying "God hates f*gs." (and no, not FIGS). You don't see atheists bombing churches, mosques or abortion clinics. You don't see atheists banning books or boycotting Disneyland.
Atheism frees that worry of whether you're going to hell or not and allows you to serve yourself and your fellow man without guilt or obligation.
It's the logical choice.

It is amazing how the religious have made being an atheist sound like a religion.
We just to don't see the evidence of a God OK!!! End of story...
There is nothing to prove the existence of a God. We just don't have the evidence to prove there is a God. Atheist can peruse other spiritual beliefs but we just don't see evidence of a God. An atheist can acknowledge there are forces greater than us but we just don't see evidence of a God that is the keeper of a places called heaven and hell that will throw us in his jail for an eternity if we don't unconditionally love him.
Being an atheist is realizing the stupidity of running our lives based on some words written in a bible by some unknown dead civilization thousands of years ago that we can not substantiate from a history long disconnected from us.

"Reality" Well someone can say the same about any religion
Except that reality has a well-known evidence-bias.
"Evidence" People have the same for their religions or else they wouldn't believe it
Actually, no. That's supposedly the "beauty" of faith. Belief without evidence. Of course there's the problem of being fact-challenged...
"Don't have to waste time going to church" What if we like going to church? What if it makes us happier and gives us comfort?
Whoopee. I don't like to go to church, and I don't like people trying to convince me to go. I suppose fantasies can be comforting. I'll take the truth over fantasy, though. Verifiable, testable truth. Something that no religion has.
Edit: Who says that atheism=amorality or unaccountability? I am accountable to myself, my family, my society, and my culture. The fact is that I DO have morals, and I DO have ethics. Many of us do, and we don't need an imaginary sky daddy standing over our shoulders with a baseball bat labeled "Hell" to keep us in line. From my perspective, Christians live their lives in fear and superstition, trying to appease their sky-tyrant in the hopes of getting into his country club.

Atheism offers an empty promise which is that a person needs not be accountable to anything or anyone. You don't need to be in a church or an organized religion to accept the truth in Jesus Christ. Look at the story about the thief on the cross. He had no time to change his filthy ways and yet, he believed in an instant on the savior being crucified next to him. In that instant, he was with Jesus Christ in paradise. Did he ever go to church, probly not.

The truth.
Why believe in God, Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy when there is no evidence that they exist? It may be comforting to believe in the tooth fairy, but there are perfectly valid explanations for the observed phenomena that explain them. The same applies to God or Santa Claus.
You say that people wouldn't believe in a God without evidence, but unfortunately they do. If there were any evidence whatsoever that there was a god, you wouldn't have to believe, just as you don't have to believe that things fall when you drop them.

Sure someone can be an Atheist and "enjoy" the world. Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao tse-tung, Kim Jong Il, Pol Pot, Ho Chi-minh, are or were atheists, and their governments made it an official policy to outlaw religion or religious groups. It certainly didn't prevent them from destroying many lives or even their own societies. It also stunted expressions of freedom and individuality the world over. The biggest fear of an Atheist is having to face the possibilities of a God they cannot see or experience. For that, they have my deepest pity & sympathy. A perception of what is real or not lies in the hearts and souls of every human being. Atheism is a belief in the world void of God. I choose another direction.
