assuming that is a lot of money, do yourself a favor.
put enough away in a safe bank investment (savings) account so that you can live off the interest and never have to work again. do not ever touch it, only the interest.
oh, and do not do something stupid that will put you into debt so that they can take the saving account money. the idea is not to live like a rich person for a short time, but invest the money and (at least) live like a middle income worker ...but never have to actually work.
be sure to live within the means of the interest. am i being clear?
