hey...I dunno about that but I am a seventh-day adventist. Nice to hear from you
I strongly believe these events will take place and I think that the single thing that defines our church to others is our belief in prophecy....thats where our church sprang out of in 1844

There is nothing in the bible about not worshipping on a Sunday. The sabbath was for Jews. It was never a gentile law. In the book of Acts, the first believers met "on the first day of the week", which is those times was Sunday. The bible says "let no man judge you on what holy days you keep". Do you honestly think God cares about which day you worship Him? Please. We should be worshipping God every single day....this constant, silly arguing over which day to be in church really must stop.
The ten commandments were not "taken away" on the cross. Jesus said He fulfilled the law.
Look around this planet. God's people are persecuted every day. If you try to preach the gospel in a Muslim country, try to convert a Muslim, you can be killed. Same in some eastern countries, the church is underground. Believers in Christ will be more and more persecuted for their belief as time shortens, before His return.

This is not an answer to your question but rather a follow-up since i have the same question 5 years ago..and still dont have answers.
It really intrigues me why only the Adventists are BOLDLY discussing end-time issues, specifically the writings from the Book of Daniel and the Revelation.
I haven't seen Catholics, Baptists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Pentecostals, Evangelicals, etc. who are PUBLICLY AND BOLDLY discussing end-time-events issues.
i once talked to a senior Baptist pastor and ask any explanations from the books of Daniel and Revelation. He ask me for months to study it. But some friend pointed me to an Adventist ministerial student and he gave me the explanations for just a week. The student was much more prepared than the senior pastor. :(
Why? Are we afraid to discuss the 'Revelation of Jesus Christ'? Is it not important in Christianity? Are we going to just leave it to the Adventists the sole explanations..or to the comics, dramas, movies about end time events?

I choose my sabbath on Sunday as it celebrates the day
Christ arose from the grave. I have no problem with your
choice of Saturday.
As a theologian, I do not see this as an end time issue.
Of greater concern is the mark of the beast, perhaps that chip that will be inserted in the wrist, or tattooed on the forehead.
Nope - mate is wrong - The Ten Commandments are still in play.
I believe all prophecy has been fulfilled as to end times, and all
that is left is God telling Jesus to "Get your bride (church)."
I also believe in the pretribulation return of Christ, so we should
not be here when the great persecution happens. That is every believer
who knows Jesus as Saviour: Adventist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist, Catholic, etc (yes - Catholic)
God Bless You !

Your Mate is right about the Sabbath and 10 commandments but not about the end times sign not matteringfor Jesus explained about the sign of the end times to his disciples for a reason, it was so that we could tell when the end was approaching. I have in my younger days had a couple of frinds who were being brought up in the Adventist Church like you were.I did on several occasions go with them to their church, but I never heard anything there about the end times(Matthew 24:14 tels of what God's people would be doing in the last days just before the end will come, they are doing this now, and it is being done earthwide it is ther main point and or concern of God's people, as it is part of God's Will for his people(Matthew24:7)some of the first parts of the overall Sign of the end times and the sign of Christ's presence. The first and secomd World wars the food shortages aftrer those in one placve after another and then also Earthquakes in one place after another that is still going on these days.Luke21:11 Says that there would be pestilences in one place after another (Matthew24:12) speaks of Increasing of Lawlessnessand we have certainly seen a lot of that in our days increasing crime and violence, (Luke21:26 says that men would become faint out of fear this is happening there is all sorts of fear in the world from bombings of atomic nature to fear of pollution killing us all off. (2Timothy3:2,4)says thatChildren would be disobedient to Parents and that Men would be Lovers of pleasures rather than Lover's of God.
(2Timothy3:5) also says that they would have a form of Godly devotion but proving false to it's power(Revelation11:18)Talks about the earth being ruined, although a person 100 years ago would not have understood how we could ruin the earth today we know exactly how it is being ruined.Yes Jesus does say that his followerswould be persecuted, how?(Mathew5:11)(John15:20)says that people would persecute God's people by lyingly saying every sort of wicked thing against them. Why?Jesus explains that He as our master was persecutedand therefore we would also be(John15:20)He also says that they have hated him without cause, so obviously the same reasons without cause would apply to God's people(John15:25 the latter part)but John15:19) explanis the reason best it says that the reason why the world hates God's people is because they are no part of the worldand because Jesus chose God's people out of the World.I hope this explains your question adequately otherwise feel free to email me.

The Rapture hasn't got here approximately yet yet i'm particular it extremely is close. till that happens the Beast of Revelation or Anti-Christ can not pass into potential. See 2d Thessalonians 2:a million-12. there has been communicate of a micro-chip implants for years now and a few human beings have already got them. This or something comparable is the Mark Of The Beast spoken of in Revelation 13:sixteen-17. you may actually definitely see the invasion of Israel by Russia and the Islamic international locations shaping up now. Russian best Minister Putin and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are in many circumstances front internet site information at the instant. examine Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 for extra info. i assume it extremely is short adequate?

your friend is wrong. The ten commandments are still in effect. That notion came when Christ said that the since He came the LAW is done away with. But the Law He was referring to was the LAW CONCERNING blood sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins. That law was done away with because He was the blood sacrifice for one and all times. In the end times Satan will be here for five months before the real Jesus comes trying to convince people to worship him saying he is Jesus coming to rapture them away.
ever body will try to pressure or force you to worship Satan. Or they may try being nice . even your friends and family will turn you into him thinking they are doing you a favor. This is the persecution mentioned in revelation. we are still to keep the Sabbath day holy IE consecrated to god. I hope this helps MGB.

It is simple.
Ask 100 people from 25 different denominations that question and you will get 90 different answers.
Ask an adventist anywhere and you will mostly get the same Biblical answer.

You need to get away from them and read the bible straight up. God didn't make man for the Sabbath but the Sabbath for man. that's only one. Your in a bad state with that group and to fix it you need to focus on the Bible and read it no other books that they give.
