And what about your sins? I suppose you alone are worthy of forgiveness?

No you didn't mean it because what you just did isn't what Jesus was talking about. Cursing the Holy Spirit means cursing God"s goodness and choosing evil instead. Since you are obviously appalled by evil, you are not choosing it.
Yes God can forgive those things, but a person must truly be sorry and repent. I don't know of many child torturers who actually have though. That would be some kind of miracle if they did. But why would that be a bad thing? Is it better for people who are evil to stay evil and never change?
If Jesus suffered and forgave those who murdered Him, then He can forgive the most horrible things.

You misunderstand.
The Bible makes it clear that the love and grace of God are infinite, and that he really can forgive any sin. Of course, this forgiveness follows the sinner asking for forgiveness. You may not be able to forgive some sins. I probably couldn't either. God says He can, and He's God. He can do lots of things that people can't.
The one unforgivable sin is not a silly little thing like saying "Screw the Holy Spirit." The one unforgivable sin is the rejection of the Holy Spirit, the rejection of the love and grave God holds for you. If you choose to reject God by saying "Screw the Holy Spirit," then that's your perogative, I guess.

I am not a Christian nor believe in any God but I think the Christians say that God will forgive anybody if they truely repent for what they have done. I cannot support saying screw the holy spirit because that is disrespectful to the belief of others and I feel very strongly that they should be free to believe whatever they choose. I do support your right to have that sentiment.
In your and my case Gods foregiveness is not very meaningful because we do not believe he exists, so why does it matter.
Your chances of success with applying logic to counteract a belief which has no logic is pretty slim.
Good luck.

Anything that we are truly sorry for is forgivable. Does that mean that all child molesters get by with the horrible things they've done just because they say, "I'm sorry"? Very doubtful. God knows our hearts and our minds ... if you truly repent, you can be forgiven. If you're doing it just because you don't want to be held accountable for it, that doesn't exactly work. God is many, many things ... but he is not stupid. He knows the difference between someone who is truly remorseful and someone who is not.
Also, asking God for forgiveness doesn't get you out of the consequences you have to suffer while you are here. Child molesters still have to do their jail time. They still have to register as a sex offender. They still have to deal with the disgusted looks of everyone they know who found out what they did. For a remorseful person, this can be pretty harsh ... for someone who doesn't care, it probably won't effect them in the least.
Personally, I think the idea of "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" is misinterpreted, but that's just me.

First of all, it is true and mostly, any true christian knows that forgiveness isn't a license to sin. If anyone sins and laughs bec they say they can bec God will forgive them, they are not a true christian. Therefore, to reject christianity simply bec you have come across other hypocrites, doesn't negate the actual truth. People are failure but in Christ, people are forgiven and their sins are wiped clean. Also, just bec someone is a christian doesn't mean we lose out falability as humans. My church teaches forgiveness of all sins but also teaches against sinning as a license. God is unlike man. His love is pure and without condition. If a man or woman is truly repentant no matter the sin, only God can see that person's heart and He accepts them when pple don't. God's love and forgiveness is not a license to sin but it never fails to pick up a truly weak person who needs help.

Coveting Thy acquaintances spouse is especially said interior the ten Commandments, so it must be proper up with the different Sins. i imagine Envy is one among the most generic sin actually everyone commits and thinks they're proper to sense Envy. Envy is maximum conventional at the same time as someone has some thing others do no longer have. regardless of if the guy worked confusing and did without to get regardless of the others are green with envy of. like the tale of the ant and the grasshopper, the ant worked confusing and placed away for confusing circumstances, the grass hopper had a reliable time, at the same time as iciness got here, the ant became prepared and grass hopper wasn't. in effortless words in human beings, the grass hoppers would band jointly to remove each thing the ant kept. like the Grasshopper Governor of Wisconsin did to the employees who placed money aside each month for his or her retirement and the green with envy Governor took the retirement mark downs remote from the employees.

My wifes father is a child molester, he molested his grandaughters and his daughters.
We as family probably will never forgive him for what he has done. Christ tells us to forgive him.
Christ also says "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Mat 6:14)
&
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:19)
But God knows if we are being sincere or not.
Im not to sure about the unpardonable sin?

I was little when I asked my pastor why priests were praying for death row criminals who killed many people. He said whoever asks for forgiveness, Jesus will forgive them so they can go to heaven. I was 6 years old and I already knew that every individual is responsible for their own action. 19 years later after a lot of thinking I finally had the courage to leave Christianity. I'm probably slow, but I made it.

it's because the religious scumbags have deep fear of losing control and doing perverted things with their kids, and want insurance that God will supposedly forgive them
I checked out the satanic website, and church of satan has a rule that no one does any kind of abuse to children, yet the holy books never do

75% of prisoners in the US claim to be Christians. They obviously think they can do whatever they want as long as they pray for forgiveness.
