She has different names in different countries. Anyway do any Christians here pray to her as well for your emotional needs? You know since God is purely intellectual matters. She is our Mother afterall.......they pretty much left it out of the Bible because it was a patriachial society at the time

First God never revealed His/Her/Its gender.

Roman Catholics prays to Mary who visited believers at Azana, Guadalupe, Lourdes (See Marians for details).

God is spirit (wind) and is not a purely intellectual matters.

You should have stay with the bible because without it, we would not know God.

Well, that is a cultural questian as well as a spiritual question....

A lot of Greeks will say "Doxa To Theo" (Glory to God) when things are going well but if they are not they say...

"Panagia Voitia Me" (Panagia Help Me) -- Panagia is a title of the Virgin Mary in the Greek Orthodox Church.

HOWEVER< that being said, the Orthodox Christians do NOT believe that Mary is the "female counterpart" to God......

I'm sure if I became a stick in Satan's wood pile he would probably not oppress or try to stop my witness, But I've been burned with fire and i dint want to be locked up for eternity in it and the Horrors of Hell or other places of punishment Besides when I taste the truth it tastes sweet to me for it has substance. Some times the sweetness turns my stomach sour because of whats to take place. But it all works for good. Besides if people weren't so blind, and Satan didn't use so many as puppets none of what is going to take place probably would have.

God has no female counterpart.
And no,there was not a giant patriachal conspiracy theory to repress a female god. They did not leave anything out of the Bible.

My God; is neither male nor female. He said "Let us make Man in our own image, creating them male and female"
God is SPIRIT. He always pointed to a Father figure as the best analogy we could understand- Lord , I AM, Jehovah, Abba Father, Our Father etc

My Bible tells me to pray to God through Jesus. Not through anyone else and it also tells me NOT to pray to any other god. If you "Pray" to someone else, you are using that person as your god and that is not of the Christian faith.

I can't speak for others, but I have never heard of it. I pray only unto GOD THE FATHER, in Jesus name seeing Jesus is my mediator.
