I was a bit taken aback because I would have guessed it to say the "other choice"...

My question came to me when I saw the outside of that DMV building in the video where it said:
"Driver Licenses"...
it just seemed to me it should have said:
"Driver's Licenses".
It just seemed to be incorrect to me.

In addition to what matt said, the term is possessive. Driver's License. Like when a cop asks you, "Do you have a valid driver's license?"

It should be "Driver's License" because there are several ways to see it.

You go to school to get your "driver's permit"
You take tests to get your driver's License.
Anyway you really look at it, a DRIVER needs this license, therefore My final answer shall be that it is a Driver's License.
This is the Driver's proof of being able to drive :D

It is Driver's License .

It is written on mine, and the 's means ownership/property of one person. Meaning it is MY License.

Think we all learned that s after ' means ownership....

Driver's license is correct. That does not mean that everybody who spells it (even in officialdom) does it correctly.
