Well my cousin would like to know if there is a way that she can get laser hair removal that is covered by insurance because she hasn't had her period for a couple months now, she is still a virgin so she isn't pregnant and she doesn't have thyroid she got checked. The doctor prescribed her progesterone but it didn't seem to work. She found that she grew facial hair, will insurance take care of laser hair removal for this?

"She should take estrogen for her health problem cause testosterone causes facial hair grow in women and man
May be she has polycystic ovarian syndrome which causes higher testo levels than normal ."

YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO MAKE THIS DIAGNOSIS.

" Doctors do not know their business most of the time ."

But you know doctor's business??? I don't think so.

To SAMMY,
I'm sorry your cousin is having a hard time. The only thing that I can suggest and anyone who is not an R.N, P.A. or M.D. can suggest is that you go back to your doctor and tell him or her your problems. Consult your doctor, no one will know better than them. Every person is different, so sometimes it is hard to diagnose after a first visit and even more visits in some cases. It is hard to pinpoint what is going on with the human body. Some medicines work for some and not for others. If you are not happy with your doctor, find another one for a second opinion. There are shitty doctors out there. Make sure you are comfortable talking with your doctor. If you are uncomfortable, see another doctor.

My dad is a dermatologist, and does laser hair removal. I am unable to get a hold of him at this moment, but as far as I know, most insurances do not cover laser hair removal.

To find out in your case, you will have to call your insurance provider. They will know.

I highly suggest going back to your doctor.

May be she has polycystic ovarian syndrome which causes higher testo levels than normal . Doctors do not know their business most of the time . If you give wrong medicine to your patient it will not work probably . It is normal to get no benefit from progesterone . You should change her doctor to prescribe estrogen or if you can buy it from pharmacists (in some countries you can buy without prescription) .

she needs to call her insurance provider. the number is on the back of her insurance card. the question is too broad as there are 1000s of insurance providers with 1000s of rules.

you will have to call your ins. i doubt it but every sort of insurance will leave one thing or another out, most dont do any sort of plastic surgery or any cosmetic kind of thing. but sometimes its possible if its connected to an illness.
