Depending on when your landline service was turned on, your name would appear in the very next printing of the phone directory, at no charge. However, if you wish to have the number unlisted, there is a nominal fee for this. The fee varies between different publishers/service areas.

Usually when you order a land line phone service the Phone Co. will list you in their directory for free. I think you have to tell them if you want to be left out. But the directory is not published except once a year.

they will put you right-a-way into the online phonebook....the paper phonebook will take for the next printing....but if you wanna go with unlisted and unpublished, it will cost you!
I got so sick and tired of paying those high fees, I went and switched to broadband...you're not listed anywhere!

if you want your # nto listed then it costs more....not much more i tihnk like little less or little more than a dollar~!
