Well, you can change your hair practically any color you want. The only downside I've found is that it can damage your hair. But to combat that, Infusium 23 is great. Or even the little packets they put in the box. I really haven't had a problem with it. But be careful what hair dyes you use...some, like Nice'N Easy, has metal in them and they won't come out.

I've been dying my hair for years because its naturally a dirty blond that I dont like. Some facts: dying DARKER than your natural color isnt damaging. Dying lighter is very damaging. As far as brands go, the cheap ones work just as good, trust me, ive tried them all. Dont wash your hair for a day or 2 after dying, it lets the dye soak in better and it will last longer. Red shades fade FAST. Trouble with dark shades is, if you want to go lighter, you cant just put a light shade on top of it. Color doesnt remove color. You would have to bleach it to go lighter. I recommend using a shampoo and conditioner made for color treated hair. The good thing is, if you go darker, it makes your hair look shiny and healthy. If you go lighter, it tends to make it dry and damaged. Get the tips trimmed every month to maintain healthy looking hair. Touch up your roots every month or two. If you have hair past your shoulders, or it is really thick, buy two boxes. Its better to have too much than not enough. Good luck! If you have more questions, IM me at mrs.mama21@yahoo.com I've used pretty much every color and brand out there, because I tend to change my hair when I am bored, lol.
PS: NEVER bleach your hair yourself!!! If you really want it done, go to a pro, or you will regret it.

Any sort of dye will dry out your hair. in basic terms get extremely solid conditioner, or some sort of fix therapy. i think of Infussium 23 moisture works extremely nicely. I even have extremely dark hair, my stylist mixes collectively the darkest brown with black, and you get the appropriate coloration. confirm you have somebody do it at a salon, don't get a container.
