Well you could always go and buy some black hair dye and just.. dye back over it. Or go back to the lady, let her know that you hate the way that she did your hair and make her fix it.. with no charge. Also, I would recommend that you have the manager there while you get it fixed. (Unless that was the manager.. and then I would recommend going somewhere else and let them fix your hair. )

If its really bothering you and you want a more permanent solution than using a toner, the operator who did your highlights can do a reverse to put those hairs that she did back to black, or you can use a filler (buy that special at the Beauty Supply store), apply it and follow directions, use black dye that matches your predominate hair color and color all of you hair that black color.

I agree with the first commenter. Go back and ask them to put ina toner, it will darken the highlites to a light brown or caramel color, or even darker. It will not ruin your hair. Or, if you dont want any highlites at all, have them color your hair the same it is now and it will color the highlites.

Sounds like you need a toner. If you dont like your hair, go back to the stylist and tell them. Its their job to make you happy about your hair. A toner would just take the contrast and mellow it out.
