I have a heart condition and will have to have major surgery in 10 years or so and would like to have kids before that.

You just haven't found the right girl yet. Believe it or not, she'll come along when your ready. What's the rush? 23 is young yet, it's not like you've got one foot in the grave, just be paitent. Obviously there's still something you need to learn before that perfect girl arrives, that's why she's not here yet. Take a breath and look around at the present. See what there is to enjoy now before you rush off into the future.
You'll find what you're looking for.

Maximum age gap should not exceed 8 years according to my knowledge. Coz if the age gap is more than than (in your case if its above 31) then the compatibility factor will not be their between you and your partner. Compatibility is an essential element in a long term relationship.
Anyeway Good luck to you!!!!

There are no age limits once your an adult. If you love someone age shouldn't matter. You just have to be thick skinned about other peoples attitudes towards it thats all.

No age is too old once you hit 18 , its a free world. But I don't think its age that makes guys settle , its their maturity level.
