ok so there is this guy that i realy like. i just fornd out that he is also going to ask me out. but then i found out he is only asking me out because he lost a volleyball game to our friend. so.... i like him,...he likes me,....but now has to ask me out because he lost a game to our friend? i dont understand. does he truely like me or is this all a game? HELP!

Of course he doesn't truly like you. You are nothing but the payment of a lost wager to him. I am hoping that you are worth more than that to yourself and you will say no.

Uhm, tricky straight out of another teen movie, being a dude, I would say this. Take the free dinner! DUH! :P. It will be fine, what a lot of people don't understand is that guy's are just as shy, maybe the reason he didn't ask you out before is because he is afraid of rejection as well, look at this event as a positive, it could be all he needed to give himself the guts to show you how he feels. Never the less, I wouldn't be insulted in any way, he wouldn't go through with it if he didn't like you, and again FREE STUFF. Work it.

I went out with a guy whom I liked and who liked me. I found out later that he made a bet with another guy about who'd make me go out first. I ended up dating this guy for 3 years and had a lot of fun. You never know. What do you have to lose? Take a chance.

Tell him that you would have loved to accept the invitation if it was truly something he wanted. Since he was only asking because of losing a vollyeball bet, then you rather say no. Then wait and see how he acts and go from there.

Who cares, if he asks you out then you have your chance with him. Make the best of it. it could be true love, what does it matter when or how he asks you out. A guy wouldn't make a bet like that, unless he had some interest.
Take advantage of the situation.

If you like him, go out with him. Just be a little cautious until you understand where he's coming from. Its possible that he really likes you or will end up possibly falling in love with you.

its a stupid immature excuse for him to mentally force himself to ask you out. don't pay attention to the reasons that hes asking you. If he didn't want to ask you out, he'd find some way out of it. Hes probably very egotistical if he were to say that hes asking you out due to losing a game. Don't give him the satisfaction of saying yes so eagerly, since hes not being straightforward.

maybe he always liked you but was too nervous to talk to you but now this gives him a reason too. and if thats not the case it wouldn't hurt to go on a date with him.
