They still allow online betting on horse racing and state lotteries because the govt gets a cut from both of those.

They were sick seeing foreign countries make all this money off us citizens without them getting their cut so they passed UAIG

Passing this law broke there WTO agreement and antiguia filed a complaint and won .. but the US Govt is arrogant and is ignoring the decision

Laws will be passed allowing US citizens to gamble on US run sites. Harrahs and Wynn are rumored to be the frontrunners to run them,

Because the Bush administration likes to pander to the right wing crazy rich fundamentalist right wing. They consider banning gambling the right 'moral' thing to do.

They just don't tell anyone that the new bill actually legalizes online horse betting because someone somewhere got paid off by that industry.

It is a disgusting attack on our rights, and all done in a misguided and underhand way that flies in the face of what people really want. At best about 18% of Americans want to see this kind of prohibition.

the US government doesnt endorse alot of things that Americans invented,like crack cocaine,sub machine guns,internet scams,the kkk,etc.just because an American invented something,it doesnt mean the US govt has to be for it.
