To me there are 2 suspects the maid and the king. genuine the maid had grabbed a knife however the king had a carry of 'his sword and his crown" so that they the two had a weapon. the maid might've performed it if her king have been to command it yet seeing because of the fact the king became the only went interior the room accompanied by potential of the jester and the maid, and he became the only that have been given cheated on he probable wanted to the deed himself and have been given to the room first, i say the king killed the queen. You have not mentioned that the 'woman' was also the 'wife'. I think that maybe he was carrying his wife's body to the funeral with a woman who was a stranger.

he told his wife not a women,she was dead before the man left,that is one scenario,the other is that the wife give birth and she died in the labor and baby was a life.
