Yes, the earth will perish. Will it perish soon? I seriously doubt it. People having been saying that their own times were near the end for many reasons throughout time. Global warming has occurred many times throughout history. During a global warming period the Vikings settled in Greenland. Pollution has existed in one form or another throughout most of civilized history. There are just more folk around today making it. Don't get me wrong, I think we should care for the environment. I just don't think it's all doom and gloom.
Scientist generally agree that one day the Sun will begin to go Supernova. In the process it will become a red giant and consume the inner planets such as Mercury, Venus, and the Earth.

Maybe you should learn the English language and grammar system before you try to communicate with other Americans. First of all, have you heard of spell checker? Read your question through again and see if it makes sense to you.
And yes, they are needed. Everything in the world is becoming more advanced; whether it be economies, technology, medicine, etc. All of them tie together with each other. But then there are the cases such as India or China, who have massive populations and population growths. They have over-stepped their boundaries when it comes to economic development. There are the super rich, and the extremely poor. No more than 10 minutes outside of the city there are poverty stricken areas who kill their young if they are not men in order to save money.
Then you have the case of fossil fuels. From this point on, the world will need to discover an entirely new Saudia Arabia every ten years in order to supply the world with oil. Where is the second largest oil reserve in the world? Iraq. Why do you think we are there.
And it is not the world itself that will be destroyed, only the human race. If we cannot put people on other planets within 100 years, well... we're screwed. The population is expected to grow from 6.5 billion to nearly 15-20 billion in our lifetimes.
Yes, advances are good things. But if we make such advances in technology and medicine, the population will live on longer and only the rich will be able to afford them. People won't die, and population will continue to grow. Now in India, people there are acting more American and have become more Westernized. If every person in the world started living like Americans, there is no way to support that demand. Which is why we need to hammer home the idea of cutting back on having children. Population will be a massive problem in the future.

In time all things come to an end. All in life is impermanent. If this were not so, we'd soon be crowded by waste and have no fresh resources to use... Oh, wait... that's what's happening now, isn't it? LOL
All I can say is to live within the boundaries of your own sensibilities and encourage others to follow your example; without forcing them to, of course.
In time, the sun will die and take out the earth in its death troes. So, unless we find a workable way to get enough people (and other species of animals and plants) to make a viable ecosystem on another planet somewhere out in space, then humans will also disappear. Better, as one old prophet once said, to worry about today, and deal with tomorrow when/if it gets here.

Well, in about 6 million years the sun is going to explode and wipe out the solar system. As far as the treat of Humans on this planet go, yeah, we're going to be in real trouble (not that we aren't already) and it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Wish the world luck, and if it concerns you that much, join Greenpeace or the EPA or some other organization like that.

No -- the earth is a rock in space.
The people on it have one and only one choice -- evolve behavior or die.
