why cant u just tell someone how u feel?

why does pride get in the way of everything....why r we so scared to admit how we really feel ......why do we hide our feelings ........why is love soo complicated

pride is a process binded by the human thought and phsycology, some people like me are inverts, i wont tell you how i feel about you and i keep it up bottled inside, which makes you have to guess what im feeling and thinking, and like a soda can, you apply too much pressure or stress and the person bursts and all of a sudden all emotions and feelings and though about you come, which lead to the confusion of the other party, thats how men are, you just have to be used to it... no one will ever be open with a person unless they have gone through so many hardships that they can care less about what another being might think about them, love is not complicated if both people are upfront and see each other eye to eye ( social wise ) well anyway ive gone through my hardships thats how i know so much on this topic, dont stress, let life teach you how everything is done

I wish falling in love was as simple as it seemed to be when we were younger. You just told the person. No holding back, no second guessing, no "what ifs".. I used to be like that..."I like you". Sweet, simple, to the point.

Then, all the rules changed. You couldn't just tell the person. There were soo many obstacles. The biggest of which were the questions..what if this person rejects me? or laughs at me? or hates me?

I've been burned too many times...too many tears spent on guys that didnt' give me a chance, didn't even care who I was. It hurts. I dont' like feeling that way. I'd rather deal with the pain of an unknown love, then an unrequited one.

You can tell anyone anything you want, but you wont.
This is because it is not wise to reveal too much or people can take advantage of you or reject you even humiliate you.

Its like a game of cards, doesnt pay to put them on the table or the other party may change or re-think their position.

yeah i feel the same as well but i think it would be even harder when you confess but the person doesnt love you back, it will break your heart in two. However, if you know that the one you love loves you back but too shy to tell you thats when you start telling him/her how you feel.

because we are all human,,, so we have all those emotions,, compassion,, pride as you say,,,, but you know if you care about someone and have far to much pride to tell them ,,, try and ask yourself ,,, what would it hurt?,,, would they think less of me,,,, and would i think less of me for being honest?,,,, so dig down deep inside and work your way up to talking to the other person you just might be surprised :)

people think they have the answer but they dont... i dont even have the answer really... sometimes ill be like "im gonna tell them how i feel" but then the next second im like "maybe i should tell them later" or sometimes im in the mood where i dont care and dont listen to my inner voice and just say it

i think it has something to do with not understanding yourself. get yourself together and hopefully everything will fall into place. after all, nature designed us to mate and continue the species.
