in my genital area and on the sides i notice i prespire a lot and its causing a horrible smell that even after showering and scrubbing the area like crazy the smell just does not go away. I have no idea how to hide this smell or get rid of it for good and this is my biggest goal. Its a huge discouragement to try to approach girls when the smell down there is always in the back of my mind. Anyone with even the slightest clue or idea please help.

Just wanted to let everyone know I could and will see a doctor and have insurance. I just am 18 and therefore would feel uncomfortable telling my mother why I wanted to see the doctor for this reason

My friend had the very same thing and he went to the doctor and this is what he told him. He had a bad yeast infection. He gave him some type of cream to use twice a day and also told him that he must wear loose fitting clothes, especially like boxers. Also, do everything he could to keep the area dry. His infection was clear in a couple of days. He has had the same infection a couple more times and each time, he used the same cream and each time it went away. He has a hard time not sweating, because he works in construction. But, it's best that you go to a doctor yourself and not listen to or treat it with what other people say or think it is. Get a diagnosis from your own doctor and follow his instructions clearly. Best of luck to you! I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple.

First of all, it might be something hormonal. Without not knowing your age or anything else, there is a reason as to why you have this odor, despite your best efforts. What type of soap are you using? And men, also, suffer from hormonal problems as well as females. It could be problems with your sweat glands also. Using scented powders/soaps will only cover up the problem. I also wouldn't shave your hair. There is a reason why we were born with hair.
I would make an appointment with a physician. Don't be embarrassed. It might be a yeast-type infection or something else, and you should get professional help when you can, as this is interfering with your life.

If it's only your genitals that smell this way ??
Secondly are you very over weight??
Dude you need to get to a Doctor or health dept very quickly, could be anything too much to speculate here, we are not doctors this sounds serious. Try using cider vinegar AFTER you bathe, clean all creases well with it & see what happens, rinse with cool water after you apply the vinegar.
Seek medical help got to clinic or health dept if money is an issue & you have no insurance

Start by asking a pharmacist. Perhaps he could recommend a soap or powder, and don't be bashful.
Next step, a doctor.
