Okay, I'm not to sure on the part about you thinking your friend is gay but about the advice with girls I can help. So you like a girl, try and talk to her more and see what she's into, a girl likes that. Try spending time with her. Always smile when she looks at you and don't try and show off because she might like it for a little while but she's think you're just trying to hard and think you're stupid.

Okay, you reckon your best friend is gay-that means you Think he's gay? Or know for a fact he is gay? If you Think he is-then sit down with him over a cup of coffee, and ask him honestly, confidentially. If you know for sure, it's up to you if you are comfortable being his friend. As for girls, you don't Have to be into sports to get a gal. The fact that you are smart is a good point, your good sense of humor is great, and the artistry skill you have is fabulous! Picaso was a great artist. If you have a particular gal in mind to go out with, if you know her from work, school, etc. you can always ask her out, for coffee, lunch, etc. to start. Dinner could come later, at another time. Start with a friendship with her. Why do you have to do anything about your best friend being gay? He's ( assuming it's a he) still the same guy he was before, his sexuality has nothing to do with you and it's only one part of who he is, it doesn't define him unless you let it. He's your best friend, not your lover so don't sweat.
You don't need to be good at sports to get a girl. You have all the qualities you need already except one, smart,creative,funny and CONFIDENT! Girls like those jock, sporting guys because they're confident about themselves. Try smiling at the girl and say hi once in a while, she'll notice you and if your confident then she'll pick up on it.

If you're funny and a good artist, you should have no trouble hooking a girl.
Ladies love drawings. Try stencilling or watercoloring a picture of her and giving it to her in a discreet and romantic way. Under her windshield wiper is a great way!
With regards to your friend, if you truly are friends, ask him. Tell him it won't change your friendship and that you just care about him being happy. Don't approach the subject in a derogatory way, and let him know that it is okay.

if you think your best friend is gay try everything in your power to find out for sure. i am going thru the same thing. well he's not a best friend but he is a goodfriend whom admire and i decided to put all the stories i was hearing about him to the side. but when we decided to go all the way he didn't rise to the occasion if u know what i mean. it was a big turn off. i don't have anything against gays but i certainly don't want to go to bed with a man who likes to sleep with other men.
