Hi Guys, My daughter will be 1 years old around easter and She just got her first tooth. I was just wondering What all she can have like candy wise to put in the plastic eggs if we wanted to go that rougt? I was wondering what all you mothers did with your 12 month olds when easter came. And what you used.
She loves food, everytime I cook shes gotta have what mommy and daddy has shes been on solids and table scraps like small cut up hot dogs and everything and does fine she started those at 5 months. (The hot dogs we just started). Except I found out green beans isnt good to give. Well, I would like to know what you guys have done.. :-) thank you!

my son was around the same age when he turned one and i avoided the silly plastic eggs alltogether since they just seemed corny to me. we did dye regular easter eggs (only a few) and i let him eat those and he did get easter baskets that i filled with some candies like super soft jelly beans, fruit snacks, chocolate bunnies and crayons, etc. anything that she'll be able to hold onto and will think is fun and i gave him a lot of small toys. he was really into thomas trains and matchbox cars so he got some of those and coloring books and soap crayons and fun "dyes" to go in the water by Crayola that just turn the water whatever color you want. don't go overboard since she won't really remember it anyways and use common sense. if she starts choking on something, take the rest of them away from her for another month or so and try again. ya know??

DO NOT give her chocolate. First of all, the child will go completely wild, second, even your pediatrician will tell you she's not old enough, and third, she might have (or develop) an allergy, and you'd end up spending Easter at the ER.
One year old and this is her first tooth? That seems really late. If you must give her something, give her fruit that she can gnaw on without getting it lodged in her throat. There isn't really any candy she can have that's small enough to fit in a plastic egg without being a choking hazzard. I would suggest small toys, but: choking hazzard. The only thing that comes to mind are small lollipops that have looped handles instead of straight sticks, but even then you have to watch her closely.
The thing is, since she's so little, she's not actually expecting to find prizes in those plastic eggs. You could just use empty ones and she wouldn't care. The point is for her to have fun doing something she wouldn't normally get to do.

stay far far away from lollies (candy) they are small and not goos for babies. Give a toy and one easter egg. Mine had their first taste of chocolate at 12 months for their easter, my son didn't like it (never ate it till he was 4 and then it was white only, then at 6 loved all chocolate) but my daughter...well....as a typical girl she LOVED it. At that age though one is enough. Stay away from lollies though, she could choke on them. Chocolate is soft and melts, forget the woman who said you could end up at the ER, very unlikely. If she has milk okay i wouldn't worry. It will not send her hyper, few kids actually will be set of from chocolate. What the studies show is that it is the excitment of the day that hypes them up (parties etc.) Stay away from marshmellow though. If she swallows the thing whole and it sticks in the throat do you know what happens? It swells. Put one in a glass of water and you will see. Then she will choke and you will not be able to get it out. Kids have died from this (seriously. There is a stupid game kids play about how many marshmellows they can fit in their mouths and many have died)

We gave ours a bunny rabbit and animal cookies, she snuck some of her brothers chocolate bars though...and was quite pleased with herself. i'd steer clear of anything chewy, gummy stick, as it could be a choking hazard (as someone said, marshmellows really are a choke hazard, if she does manage to break a piece off and once it gets down the throat, it's almost impossible to get back out)

a little bit of chocolate won't hurt, but not the little eggs as they can be swallowed whole and present a choke hazard.
I gave my kids a small choc bunny in colourful paper (it's the paper wrap thats exciting to kids) and some hot cross buns with butter.

I gave mine cheese puffs. At that age, Easter baskets are really for the parents. Your kid will not know what she has or doesn't have. Too much chocolate is not going to be good for her.

they should help carry them on the airplane, they should help are taking as plenty it rather is mandatory for her basically placed them interior the diaper bag, and cause them to conscious which you have them. there will be no problem, these days Traveled threw 4 significant airports with an 18month old. Had a shop on packed with nutrition for her no subject concerns. good success!
