Hi, For years my mother and I complained to different vets that something is wrong with our one cat. She's a female, short-hair. She has began peeing in places, like on the sofa. She has visual problems and hearing problems sometimes. She hasn't been able to get her shots by the vet in years, because it makes her have seizures; or get her teeth cleaned. At times you can feel a lump on her side, where her kidney is; she also plucks her fur out on that spot. When she uses the litter box its a lot urine. I realize she is seven years old, but I have never seen a cat with these problems. Does she have some sort of disease?

Don't just put your cat down. Have her checked out. I know you say it gives her sezuires but warn the vet before so they can be prepared. I

t could be cancer when you consider that lump you're talking about but it sounds more like a neurlogical condition, probably something similar to what's called feline hypersthesia syndrome which is believed to be caused by epilespy. You describe some of the symptoms but the kidney doesn't match and i'm not sure about the urine. But the sezuires and visual an hearing, as well as pulling out the hair are signs of this.

Luckily, if it is that, it's treatable with a small pill probably once a day or whatever your vet recommends. And she live a long and happy life.

Best of luck.

sounds like a urinary tract and or kidney problem, which is very common in cats. She doesn't need shots or teeth cleanings to be healthy, those things only help prevent some diseases, your cat sounds like she has a cancer or other non preventable disease. The Vets should be checking her urine PH and kidney for normal funtion. if the vets you're seeing refuse to treat the cat unless it has shots then find another vet. the lump may be some sorta tumor:( which could be benine or malignant only a vet can tell. Plus if your cat needs its teeth cleaned just feed more hard food and Friskies indoor cat treats with tartar control, there are also cat foods that help a cats urinary tract stay normal

Find a vet that specializes in cats, there's a lot that can be done here but you need a vet that's willing to take a little time and take you seriously. There's a lot of cat-only clinics in most big cities. But if you do, then you need to be prepared to spend some money and do diagnostic tests, because the vet can't tell you what's up without them.

See? You need a cat specialist LOL : )

Sounds like it could be cancer. You need to go and have her looked at. I have heard that if a cat pulls hair out there is something wrong. They shouldn't be doing that. I would highly recommend taking her into a vet that you find reliable.

It sounds like she has a cancerous tumor, take her to the vet and have her put down. I know you love her and will miss her, but she is miserable and will get worse if you cant' afford to treat her. Be her friend and stop her suffering.

Well, I'm not trying to be a smart-__s, but perhaps it is time to send your cat to kitty heaven and get another cat.
